Billing & Coding Officer

The key function is to prepare invoices and manage patient account; oversee every area of finance, billing, claims reimbursement, financial books preparation, debt reconciliation as well as general healthcare financing knowledge.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in accounting or economics is preferred. Proficiency Certificate in Hospital Billing and Coding
Member of accounting professional bodies is an added advantage Minimum of 3 years administrative experience in a medical or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of medical coding procedure.
Demonstrate ability to accurately and independently solve problems Above average organizational skills to be able to locate patient records speedily.
Attention to details to maintain patient records proficiently and to check that the accounts have been entered accurately.
Exceptional communication skill (both oral and written) Ability to work overtime and long hours
Proficiency in Hospital Accounting/Billing Software , Microsoft Office / Suite
Great interpersonal and people skills Problem solving skills
