Laboratory Scientist

The key function is to perform diagnostics testing of blood, body fluids, cells and tissues etc in the laboratory to detect the presence or absence of health conditions, and communicate the results.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science and complete an internship program.
Evidence of professional certification by Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
Minimum of 3 years related experience Good judgment and decision making skills Good listening and communication skills Time management and organizational skills Computer skills
Record keeping skills
Good hand-eye coordination Good eyesight and near vision
Ability to work calmly under pressure
Ability to concentrate for long periods of time Knowledge of clinical laboratory procedures
Knowledge of the use and operation of state of the heart laboratory equipment such as microscopes and cell counters. Ensuring safety guidelines and regulatory policy are up to date.
