Quantity Surveyor

A. Come up with construction costs, estimates, labour and material schedule from working drawings.
b. Reviewing construction plans and preparing quantity requirements.
c. Ensures that all possible waste and theft on sites are adequately avoided by putting in place concrete measures to avert them.
d. Ensures “savings” are gotten from Bill of Quantities (BOQ)/budgets, especially from purchase of materials and labour rates.
e. Scrutinizing maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
f. Handles updating of prices/rates for materials and labour, preparing contracts, etc.
g. Monitors and supervises the activities of the store personnel and site securities.
h. Disseminates information and correspondence from the corporate office to all the staff on site.
i. Reports/receives directives from the Project Lead.
j. Develop sales strategies to penetrate and win new accounts. This includes registration of the company with Clients and preparation of presentations and tenders.
k. Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities and feasibility reports supporting growth based on intelligence.
l. Assist in the formulation, execution, and monitoring of the company’s business development, market penetration strategies, and plans for enhancing business growth.
m. Assist in sourcing with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and preparation of bids/proposals, to the submission of bids in line with the stipulated deadlines.
