Job Description
Job Location: Lagos
Requirements
- Build, Lead and manage a team of underwriters
- Place policies on strong terms, conditions and memos.
- Hard Negotiations on rates and Coverages
- Review and analyze complex insurance proposals.
- Set underwriting guidelines and standards for property and casualty insurance
- Negotiate risks based on insureds criteria
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and Underwriters
- Conduct / Co-ordinate risk assessments and site visits as needed
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes
Job Title: Lead Underwriter (Marine - Hull & Cargo)
Location: Lagos
Requirements:
- Specialize in marine insurance, focusing on hull and cargo risks
- Build, Lead and manage a team of marine underwriters
- Analyze and assess complex marine insurance risks
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and Underwriters.
- Conduct/ Co-ordinate risk assessments and site visits at ports, docks, or other marine locations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, maritime laws, and regulatory changes
- Negotiate on Rates and terms.
- Develop wide Policy terms and conditions.
