Job Description

Job Title: SME Sales Officer
Location: Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria
Job Type: Full Time

Duties:
 Present, promote, and sell financial products and services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
 Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their financial needs.
 Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
 Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
 Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
 Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the schedule.
 Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments.
 Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
 Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales plans.
 Set short-term and long-term sales goals and align them with company targets.
 Prepare and deliver presentations on financial products and services to SMEs.
 Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
 Monitor sales metrics and analyze data to make informed decisions.
 Manage sales pipelines, forecast sales, and report progress to senior management.
 Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
 Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling financial products to maximize revenue.
 Prepare regular sales reports, including sales volume, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts.
 Present insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business decisions.

Requirements:
 Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
 Proven experience as a SME Sales Officer or similar role for at least three (3) years, preferably in the financial services industry.
 Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and techniques.
 Excellent leadership and team management skills.
 Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
 Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
 Strong organizational and time management abilities.
 Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
 Familiarity with sales analytics and reporting tools.
