Job Description

Job Title: Digital Technology Strategist focused on Innovation

Job Purpose / Objective
• Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of innovation initiatives and digital capacity building programs within the company. Involves working closely with various departments to identify skill gaps, developing programs to close skill gaps, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Basic functions & Principal Responsibilities:

• Conduct research on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify and implement innovative solutions that enhance business processes.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and innovation workshops, developing and maintaining an innovation pipeline to track project progress and outcomes.
• Support the creation and maintenance of an internal innovation portal or idea management system, ensuring effective documentation and communication of innovative ideas.
• Design and deliver customized digital skills training programs and curricula, including in-person and virtual sessions, to address identified training needs across departments.
• Develop and curate e-learning content, such as video tutorials, webinars, and interactive modules, and evaluate the effectiveness of these training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
• Stay updated with the latest digital education methodologies and integrate them into training programs to ensure they are relevant and effective.
• Promote digital literacy and advanced digital skills by creating educational materials, organizing digital skills boot camps, hackathons, and innovation challenges.
• Develop mentorship and coaching programs to enhance digital skills among employees, collaborating with external training providers and industry experts for specialized courses.
• Maintain a repository of digital resources, best practices, and case studies, tracking and reporting on employee progress in digital skills development initiatives.
• Partner with HR and department heads to align training programs with organizational goals and performance objectives, ensuring effective communication of digital transformation initiatives.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on innovation and digital skills initiatives to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional teamwork, developing internal communications to promote innovation success stories and digital skills milestones.

Job requirements

Education
A minimum of BSC. /HND in relevant field such as Business, Information Technology.

Experience
Proven experience in innovation management, digital transformation projects or related fields.

Technical/Business Skills:
• Strong understanding of digital tools, technologies, and trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Interpersonal Skills:
Working Knowledge level on People, Management and Communication.
