Job Description

The appointee will be required to:

• Identify and document the business needs of all functions and determine and conceptualize feasible solutions to meet business needs or resolve business problems.
• Drive digital solution visualization and shape technology demand and direction in the business.
• Manage the digital delivery ideation and opportunity maturation pre-funnel entry process
• Drive digital transformation program/portfolio development

The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Act as digital business interface with all functions and make use of new approaches (e.g. design thinking methods, value stream mapping, etc.) to develop and conceptualize functional business themes that are distilled to value-solutions for delivery.
2. Develop a robust funnel of digital opportunities through identification, selection, refinement, and continuous management that targets the unlocking of new sources of business value from recognized business and customer problems.
3. Maintain an evergreen, healthy funnel of optimized digital opportunities portfolio that evolve from ideas/opportunities conception to execution, enabling delivery of value-added solutions aligned with NLNG business objectives.
4. Challenge business models and processes no longer adding value, and make recommendation options
5. Collaborate with IMT-TI to adopt an integrated approach to IMT-TI business engagement for improved value delivery for company
6. Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options, and precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements
7. Create and present compelling business cases to justify solution value and establish approval, funding, and prioritization.
8. Engage and work with the internal delivery team to deliver value adding digital Initiatives and create a culture of value identification and opportunity realization.
9. Develop use case specific digital opportunity validation exercises to assess value at stake, investment requirements and ROI
10. Work with the business to assess the feasibility and strategic relevance of the proposed digital solution needed to address the business need and perform due diligence to strategically align proposed digital solutions across business units and functions to inform enterprise-wide prioritization.

• No of Refined Opportunities (initiatives) that have been assessed, prioritized with credible value statements

Qualification (knowledge/skills/abilities/behaviors):
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 8 to 10 years post-graduation experience, out of which 5 years should be a similar role within the IT department or Digital function or R&D function of a reputable organization preferably Oil & Gas company.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of business strategy and how the vision links to Digital Transformation & Innovation
• Possess deep knowledge of Commercial and Operational Due Diligence and value creation methods, tools etc. and the ability to identify value creation opportunities, and think innovatively
• Strong knowledge of the operating landscape of digital business and technology
• Experience of successfully identifying and implementing digital solutions to release efficiencies, improve delivery and enhance customer satisfaction
• Understanding of the project lifecycle, with proven understanding of project delivery, value identification and execution
• Able to create implementation storylines/ process to handover to other teams
• Technical and analytical skills and ability to identify areas of potential value across the NLNG value chain
• High-quality presentation skills with impact, competent in presenting ideas clearly, convincingly to influence senior stakeholders and possessing personal presence, with the ability to earn trust and respect
• An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between tasks
• Good analytical thinking in getting to the heart of complex problems and issues
• Ability to apply own expertise effectively and quickly learn new technology
• Effective and good communication skills
• Able to handle situations and problems with innovation and creativity
Salary:
500.000,00 NGN Monthly
