Job Description:

We're seeking an exceptional Backend Developer/Team Lead to lead our technical team and manage projects from conception to delivery. As a Backend Developer/Team Lead, you will design, develop, and maintain our backend systems and APIs using PHP (Laravel), collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the performance, security, and reliability of our applications. Additionally, you will plan, organize, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs using PHP (Laravel)

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

- Implement security and data protection measures

- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers

- Plan, organize, and oversee projects

- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables

- Develop and manage project budgets and resource allocation

- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards

- Communicate project progress to stakeholders

- Identify and mitigate project risks

Requirements:

- Proficiency in PHP (Laravel), Python, and SQL databases (MySQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

- Strong understanding of software design patterns and coding best practices

- Experience with debugging, tracing, logging, and profiling

- Familiarity with Linux command line environment

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new technologies

- Proven experience as a Team Lead or similar leadership role

- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

- Understanding of budgeting and resource allocation

- Ability to conduct risk analysis and mitigation

- Leadership and organizational abilities

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude

- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
