Job Description
Job Title: Manager, Learning & Development Business Group
Type: Full Time
Sector: Consulting
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
We are a management consulting company with a track record of performance in consulting services for over 15 years. Our company is looking for a proactive manager at our Victoria Island office.
The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for learning and development business group of the company which includes but not limited to end-to-end prospecting, sales and coordinating training programs for our clients in the Financial, oil and gas, industrial, technology, engineering, and service-oriented industries.
The role is a management one and the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the CEO. The career path is from Manager through Associate Partner to Partner.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and present L & D business development strategies for CEO approvals and then implement them as approved.
• Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets for the L & D Business group.
• Setup of meeting with appropriately qualified contacts in a prospective client’s company.
• Partner with relevant team members to create winning proposals
• Anticipate and recognize any client requirements in order to close sales
• Coordinate opportunities from prospect through to engagement
• Research and communicate information about target sectors, customers and competitors
• Proactively communicate news and insights on prospects organizations and contacts.
• Gain and Share understanding of prospect’s organization, processes, business strategy for achieving client requirements
• Effectively negotiate with multiple levels of executive management within prospective client organizations.
• Use in-depth knowledge and insight of key competitors to create compelling reasons for prospective clients to engage with the company.
• Communicate the status of opportunities, clearly articulate next steps and discuss potential risks with the wider sales and account management team in weekly meeting
• Ensuring compliance with company’s policies and procedures, ensuring all regulatory requirements in respect of learning and development business are complied with.
• Meeting the assigned revenue targets by generating business from new and existing clients.
• Generally, assist the MD/CEO in strategic development of the learning and development business group of the company.
Academic Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in in social sciences such as Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Human Resources Management, or related courses.
• Associate membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (ACIPM).
• Membership of Leaning and Development Network International will be an added advantage
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in learning & development prospecting and relationship management role in consulting firms.
Skills and Competencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft O365 suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
• Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey recommendations clearly and concisely to management / leadership.
• Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Power Query or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests.
Renumeration: Between N4.8M and N6.0 M net per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The job also attracts commission and performance bonuses on meeting agreed revenue target.
