Job Description
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment and systems in our rubber manufacturing plant. This role requires a hands-on approach with a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly within a manufacturing or industrial setting. The successful candidate will ensure the mechanical efficiency and reliability of all production equipment, contributing to improved productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and machinery used in rubber production processes.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to prevent disruptions in production.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment performance.
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Design and implement mechanical improvements to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
Support the implementation of new technology and machinery upgrades.
Provide technical guidance and training to the maintenance team on best practices for equipment operation and safety.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role, preferably within the rubber or polymer manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, production machinery, and maintenance best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
Proficient in using engineering software for design and analysis.
Familiarity with Nigerian mechanical engineering standards and regulations is an advantage.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety and operational efficiency.

- 200.000,00 NGN Monthly
