Job Description
We are looking to hire an experienced truck driver to join our team. The ideal candidate should be capable of driving 6, 8, and 10-ton trucks efficiently and safely. The role involves the transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the vehicles in top condition.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate 6, 8, and 10-ton trucks to transport goods to various locations.
2. Ensure timely delivery of products according to schedules and routes.
3. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
4. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, and safety issues, perform preventive maintenance, and report any defects.
5. Load and unload goods when necessary.
6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 1-2 years of proven work experience.
2. Minimum of SSCE or Diploma.
3. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
4. Proven experience as a truck driver, particularly with 6, 8, and 10-ton trucks.
5. Strong knowledge of Lagos and surrounding areas.
6. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
7. Good time-management skills and a commitment to punctuality.
8. Physical ability to load and unload cargo.
