Public Health Officer

We are urgently looking for Public Health Officer to protect and improve the health and well-being of communities, populations, and individuals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply knowledge of general preventive medicine and public health issues to promote health care to groups or individuals, and aid in the prevention or reduction of risk of disease, injury, disability, or death.
Focus on the overall health of communities instead of treating individual patients.
Educate the public on specific health risks and basic healthy living strategies and also create programs to encourage healthier lifestyles and minimize the risk of illness, disease, and infection
Design or use surveillance tools, such as screening, lab reports, and vital records, to identify health risks.
Develop or implement interventions to address behavioral causes of diseases.
Direct or manage prevention programs in specialty areas such as aerospace, occupational, infectious disease, and environmental medicine.
REQUIREMENTS

A Degree in Medicine, Behavioural Science/Health Education, Biostatistics, Emergency Medical Services, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, Health Services Administration/Management, International/Global Health, Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition etc.
ND, HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any Health and Environmental health field.
