Job Description (Summary)
As the Risk Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity in inventory management processes. This role involves meticulously examining and validating the physical presence of goods in a warehouse, comparing it with recorded data, and identifying any discrepancies. The Risk Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining efficient inventory control and preventing losses due to errors or theft.
Inventory Verification:
Daily upload of stock/inventory movements
Conduct regular and systematic audits of stock levels to verify accuracy.
Monitoring of stock and ensuring adequate record update
Compare physical counts of items with the information in the inventory management system.
Data Accuracy:
Ensure that all stock-related data, including product codes, quantities, and locations, are accurately recorded and updated in the system.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze stock audit reports, highlighting discrepancies, trends, and potential issues/risks.
Provide detailed and timely daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to management, suggesting corrective actions when necessary.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations related to inventory management.
Assist in the implementation of best practices to enhance stock control processes.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the warehouse officer and the teams to coordinate stock audits without disrupting daily operations.
Communicate effectively with relevant departments to address and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Security Measures:
Collaborate with security personnel to implement measures that prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized access to stock areas.
Participate in investigations related to stock losses and propose preventive measures.
Required Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc/ HND or higher in Logistics, Supply chain management, Inventory Management or any relative field
Must have not less than 2-year experience in a Supply Chain/Inventory Management Establishment
Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer use
Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for project in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
