About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager with a strong background in the multinational hospitality sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within large, complex hospitality operations, including hotels, resorts, or luxury hospitality brands.
This role requires a results-driven professional who can oversee all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring sound financial planning, effective risk management, and compliance with international financial regulations. The Finance Manager will play a critical role in driving profitability, optimizing costs, and supporting the executive team with data-driven insights to inform strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy & Planning:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and global hospitality industry standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis to support operational and strategic goals.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team for business growth, cost optimization, and profitability enhancement.
• Manage multi-currency transactions and financial operations across different geographical locations.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), tax regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring financial controls are effective and audit findings are addressed promptly.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
3. Cost Control & Revenue Management:
• Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profit margins across different departments (e.g., rooms, F&B, events) to identify areas for improvement.
• Implement cost-control measures and operational efficiencies without compromising service quality.
• Collaborate with revenue management and operations teams to optimize pricing strategies and improve occupancy rates.
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
• Manage the organization’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operational needs while maximizing investment opportunities.
• Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships, foreign exchange risk management, and debt financing.
• Monitor capital expenditures (CAPEX) and ensure projects are within budget and deliver expected returns on investment.
5. Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Provide training and guidance to department heads on financial best practices, budgeting, and cost management.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with operations, sales, marketing, and HR teams to support business objectives.
Key Requirements:
Education:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Finance, MBA, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or CFA are mandatory.
Experience:
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the multinational hospitality sector (hotels, resorts, luxury hospitality groups, etc.).
• Strong experience in hospitality finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue management, and cost control.
• Proven track record of managing financial operations in a multi-property or multi-country environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and hospitality-specific financial software (e.g., OPERA, MICROS, SunSystems).
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong financial acumen with deep knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical financial practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
