Job Description

Role Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment used in the paper mill. The role ensures that all electrical components operate efficiently to minimise downtime and enhance productivity while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems, motors, transformers, and panels in the mill.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues in production equipment to ensure continuous operation.
Replace faulty components such as switches, fuses, and wiring as needed.

Installation and Setup:
Install new electrical systems, circuits, and equipment in compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
Assist in setting up and testing machinery during installations.

Troubleshooting &Compliance
Inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
Use diagnostic tools and techniques to locate and resolve faults efficiently.
Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
Maintain a safe and organised work environment.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Update technical drawings, schematics, and manuals as changes are made to electrical systems.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to support the mill's operations.
Report recurring electrical issues to supervisors and suggest long-term solutions.

Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise equipment failures.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure the reliability of electrical systems.
Salary:
₦170,000.00 Monthly
