Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on utility systems, including water, gas, electricity, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in utility systems, responding promptly to maintenance requests or emergency issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical, heating, and cooling systems to prevent downtime or failures.
• Monitor and maintain records for utility usage, reporting any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and codes related to utility systems.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate larger repair or installation projects.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment needed for utility system repairs.
• Provide technical support and advice on the installation, repair, and upgrading of utility systems.
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of energy-saving programs, ensuring systems run efficiently.
• Complete work orders and maintenance logs, ensuring proper documentation of all work performed.
• Respond to utility-related emergencies, such as power outages, water leaks, or HVAC failures, in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
• BSC/HND/OND in any related field, additional certification or training in utility maintenance or related field preferred.
• 5 to 8 years in utility maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair utility systems.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices for utility maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry equipment when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
