Budget: NGN 830,000 Monthly Gross
Job Description (Summary)
As Head, Business Growth & Partnerships, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing strategic partnerships, and overseeing daily banking operations. The role ensures seamless business development, customer acquisition, agent banking expansion, and operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Business Growth & Sales
Develop and implement strategies for customer acquisition, deposit mobilization, and revenue generation.
Drive expansion of agent banking and digital financial solutions.
Identify and establish strategic partnerships with businesses, fintech firms, and local communities.
Oversee merchant acquiring, SME banking, and financial product sales.
Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring optimal team performance.
Identify and liaise with major heads of market associations and artisan groups for micro lending drives.
Operations & Service Delivery
Oversee branch and agent network management, ensuring seamless banking operations.
Improve processes for loan disbursement, account opening, and customer service delivery.
Ensure payment processing and reconciliation with partners, regulatory bodies, and vendors.
Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and service quality.
Implement strategies for retail marketing and daily receivables from retail customers.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with Internal Control to mitigate fraud risks and enforce financial controls.
Supervise dispute resolution and transaction monitoring.
Mitigate against default in retail lending process.
Technology & Innovation
Work with the IT team to drive digital transformation and technology adoption in financial services.
Support the implementation of payment solutions and automation tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA is a plus).
MCT CIBN certification is mandatory.
6+ years of experience in business development, banking operations, and sales, preferably in microfinance or fintech.
Strong knowledge of agent banking, merchant acquiring, and regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing digital banking solutions is an advantage.
