Location: Abuja, Nigeria

About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and result-driven Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing projects from conception to completion within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget. He will connect the design and implementation teams, ensuring that technical specifications and project requirements are met. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
• Develop detailed project plans, which include scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
• Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure site personnel and sub-contractors are managed through excellent planning and effective communication.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly on project status.
• Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and changes in scope.

Key skills/Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or Building Technology
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and think critically to solve complex problems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
