Production Manager

Key Requirements:
HND/B.Sc.in Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in production management, preferably in the masterbatch or plastics industry.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of masterbatch production processes, equipment, and raw materials.
Experience in process optimization and quality control.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and business goals.
Ensure efficient use of raw materials, machinery, and workforce.
Monitor daily production activities and address operational challenges promptly.
Implement best practices to improve production efficiency and minimize waste.
Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the manufacturing process.
Ensure optimal machine settings and process parameters for high-quality output.
Enforce strict adherence to product quality standards and specifications.
Work with the Quality Control team to conduct product tests and inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Oversee the maintenance and servicing of production machinery to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the engineering team for preventive and corrective maintenance.
Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning efficiently.
Supervise and guide production staff, fostering high performance and discipline.
Provide training on standard operating procedures and safety measures.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Monitor raw material usage and maintain stock levels to prevent shortages.
Work with procurement teams to source materials cost-effectively.
Control production costs while ensuring quality and efficiency are maintained.
Prepare and submit production reports, including efficiency, quality, and downtime analysis.
Coordinate with R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to align production with business needs.
Address and resolve production-related issues in a timely manner.
