Job Description

Job Title: Head of Accounting
Location: Ogudu, Lagos.

Job Summary:

We seek an experienced and qualified Head of Accounting to lead our accounting team in the real estate sector. The successful candidate will oversee all accounting aspects, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience working in the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior management
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and other stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role
- Experience working in the real estate industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
