Job Description
This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and excellent project management abilities.
Site Management & Supervision:
Oversee site operations and ensure adherence to the project’s schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of site teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Maintain detailed records of all site operations, including progress, issues, and daily reports.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and support on-site, ensuring correct implementation of designs and construction methods.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to avoid project delays.
Ensure compliance with all technical specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
Project Planning & Coordination:
Assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
Collaborate with project managers to identify potential risks and delays, proposing solutions as needed.
Monitor material usage, delivery schedules, and workforce productivity to keep the project on track.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
Enforce the implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Promote a culture of safety awareness among site personnel and stakeholders.
Quality Control:
Monitor and inspect work to ensure that all project activities meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Conduct material tests and site inspections to confirm compliance with quality expectations.
Report any issues or deviations from the quality standards to the project manager for resolution.
Budget & Resource Management:
Assist in controlling project costs by managing resource allocation and monitoring material usage.
Identify and address any potential cost overruns or inefficiencies on-site.
Report on the financial status of the project, ensuring that expenses are in line with the budget.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact between site teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
Communicate project progress, challenges, and timelines with clients and upper management.
Participate in client meetings and coordinate project-related discussions with various teams.
QUALIFICATION:
Minimum 4 years of experience in site engineering, preferably in construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of construction, mining, or manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
Proficient in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.)
