Job Description

Job Title: Shopify Expert / Shopify Developer

Location: Remote / Hybrid - Lagos

Job Type: Contract / Full-time

Job Description:

Our partner is seeking a Shopify expert to help build, customise, and optimise their Shopify store. You’ll work closely with the design, marketing, and product teams to implement features that improve user experience and drive conversions.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain the Shopify store, themes, and custom apps.

Implement responsive and user-friendly UI/UX based on provided designs or best practices.

Customise existing Shopify themes and apps to align with business needs.

Optimise the site for performance, speed, SEO, and mobile usability.

Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and apps as needed (e.g., Klaviyo, ReCharge, etc.).

Troubleshoot bugs and technical issues with speed and efficiency.

Stay up-to-date with Shopify updates, best practices, and eCommerce trends.

Requirements:

Proven experience with Shopify platform and Shopify Plus (preferred).

Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.

Familiarity with modern front-end tools and frameworks (React, Tailwind, etc., a plus).

Experience with cross-browser/platform responsive development.

Basic knowledge of SEO and performance optimisation.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Portfolio of past Shopify projects or live store examples.

Bonus Skills:

Graphic design or Figma skills.

Knowledge of headless commerce or Shopify Hydrogen.

Experience with A/B testing and analytics tools.

Flexible hours, remote work, and potential for long-term collaboration.
