Job Title: Cash-in-Transit (CIT) Driver

About the Role
We are currently hiring experienced and professional Cash-in-Transit (CIT) Drivers to join our secure logistics operations in Benin, Nigeria. This critical role involves safely operating bullion vans to transport cash and valuables between designated locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate bullion vans and escort pickups to securely transport cash and valuables.
• Ensure the safety of personnel, cargo, and vehicle at all times.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on vehicles, including checks on engine oil, brakes, tires, and fuel.
• Report and troubleshoot minor faults or vehicle issues when detected.
• Maintain clear communication with security escorts and control room personnel.
• Log all trips and incidents accurately in company-provided documentation.
• Respond quickly and calmly to emergency or security situations.
• Adhere to all road safety and internal security protocols.
• Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of professional driving experience, ideally in CIT, logistics, or security services.
• Skilled in driving both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Possess a valid Class C driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Sound knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Must be physically fit and capable of handling long-distance or demanding road conditions.
• Aged between 25 and 45 years.
• Minimum of SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate) or equivalent.
• Membership of Lagos State Drivers Institute (LASDRI) is a plus.
• Supernumerary Police (SPY) training or certification is an added advantage.
• Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Effective communication in English and local languages.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in security escort driving or defensive driving training.
• Familiarity with local and interstate road networks in Nigeria.
• Previous background in security-related roles is highly desirable.
