Pcb Board Designer

Role Overview:

We are hiring a PCB Designer to lead the design, layout, and optimization of printed circuit boards for the Quantum Wallet device. This role is critical in converting hardware schematics into production-ready, compact, and efficient board designs suitable for large-scale manufacturing and integration with embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design multi-layer PCBs using tools like KiCad, Altium, or Eagle

Interpret circuit schematics into compact, production-ready layouts

Optimize trace routing for NFC, power efficiency, and signal integrity

Collaborate with electronics engineer to integrate microcontrollers, secure elements, display drivers, and communication modules

Prepare fabrication-ready Gerber, drill, and BOM files

Validate physical and functional fit of PCBs with device casing and antenna placement

Iterate design based on firmware/hardware feedback and field test data

Requirements:

Proven experience in PCB layout design (2+ years)

Proficiency in CAD tools (KiCad, Altium, or equivalent)

Understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation, ground planes, and thermal management

Experience with low-power, high-frequency circuit routing (e.g., for NFC, RFID)

Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) standards and assembly workflows

Bonus: Prior work on consumer hardware, wearables, or portable embedded devices

Nice to Have:

Understanding of antenna design and enclosure interference

Familiarity with rapid prototyping and PCB test/debug cycles
