Job Description
Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Festac, Lagos (or within close proximity)
Salary: ₦150,000 Monthly
Experience Level: 1 – 3 years
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support our finance operations. The ideal candidate should have 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate record keeping
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Maintain proper documentation of financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Reconcile ledgers and assist with budget tracking
• Assist in payroll preparation and statutory remittances
• Liaise with auditors and support audit processes as required
• Provide administrative and financial support to the finance team
Requirements:
• B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts, etc.)
• Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) is an advantage
