Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant supports the day-to-day financial operations of the hospitality business by accurately recording transactions, assisting in reconciliations, and maintaining financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely reporting, compliance, and operational transparency across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Record and post daily sales revenue from POS systems (F&B, front office, spa, banquets) into the accounting system.
Verify and reconcile cash, card, and other payment modes with daily sales reports.
Process supplier invoices, ensure accuracy in coding, and maintain up-to-date AP ledgers.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Issue and follow up on customer invoices (e.g., group bookings, banquet events) and track collections.
Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
Monitor petty cash and prepare replenishment summaries.
Support F&B cost control by reconciling purchases with stock movements and consumption reports.
Assist in inventory counts for kitchen, bar, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Work closely with the storekeeper and procurement officer to verify GRNs (Goods Received Notes).
Assist in preparing daily revenue reports and monthly financial summaries.
Maintain proper documentation for all transactions in line with audit standards.
Support internal audits and external financial reviews by preparing requested schedules.

Requirements:
B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
0–2 years of general accounting experience in a service-driven environment.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
Good command of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Ability to work independently and under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
