Job Description

Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities

A furniture installer at Matrix Design and Works, also known as a furniture assembly technician or furniture technician, is responsible for the installation, assembly, and disassembly of various types of furniture. Their primary role is to ensure that furniture pieces are properly and safely assembled, meeting quality standards and customer specifications.

1. Assembly and Installation: You are expected to be skilled in reading and interpreting assembly instructions and blueprints, use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to assemble and install furniture pieces such as beds, tables, chairs, cabinets, shelves, desks, and wardrobes.
2. Measurement and Layout: You will be responsible for measuring and marking the placement of furniture items to ensure accurate installation. Your knowledge of measuring tapes, levels, and other tools use in ensuring proper alignment and positioning of furniture is key.
3. Quality Control: It is your responsibility to perform quality checks in ensuring that the furniture is assembled correctly and meets all safety standards. You are inspect and flag any defects, missing parts, or damage and take appropriate action to rectify the issues.
4. Follow production drawing according to instruction and client expectation.
5. Operate woodwork machines such as cutting machine and edge binding machines
6. Couple & installation of panels accurately to specification.
7. Supervise the Loading of materials and tools for use on project site and ensure the right materials and tools are loaded without defect.
8. Comply with safety and health procedures in the factory at all times

Job specifications & requirements

Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience, A high school diploma (SSCE), NABTEB or its equivalent is required
