Job Description
Role Overview
The Mechanical Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling our clients mechanical engineering solutions and services to both new and existing clients. This role combines technical expertise with commercial insight to understand customer needs, design tailored solutions, and close profitable sales. Ideal candidates should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical sales or technical engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
* Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, industry dynamics, and competitive positioning.
* Prepare and deliver detailed proposals and presentations customized to client requirements.
* Offer technical guidance and recommend solutions that meet client expectations.
* Collaborate with internal teams—including engineering, supply chain, and sales—to deliver comprehensive solutions.
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to support recurring business.
* Provide responsive after-sales support and technical assistance to address customer concerns.
* Ensure product quality and on-time delivery through effective coordination with internal departments.
* Represent the organization at exhibitions, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and sales activities.
* Submit weekly reports on sales performance, client engagements, and market trends.
* Continuously support clients throughout the pre-sales and post-sales lifecycle.
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
* 3–5 years of experience in technical sales or mechanical engineering roles.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop customized technical solutions.
* Customer-focused mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
* Willingness to travel for client visits, events, and site inspections.
