Job Description
LOCATION: IKEJA, LAGOS
SALARY: ₦500,000 - ₦1,000,000
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and increase profitability. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong track record in high-performance sales management, team leadership, and business development within a competitive environment. The ideal candidate will lead the sales organization to achieve ambitious targets while aligning with overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
Drive new business development initiatives and expand market share across key sectors and regions.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure performance, accountability, and professional development.
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy.
Establish performance metrics, sales forecasting models, and reporting structures to ensure data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy.
Build and manage strong client relationships at senior levels, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnership.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key business meetings to enhance visibility and positioning.
Oversee the development and execution of pricing strategies, sales policies, and contract negotiations.
Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and ROI.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA or relevant Master’s degree is a strong advantage).
Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales leadership, with at least 4 years in a senior management role.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets, leading successful teams, and driving business growth in a large-scale organization.
Strong understanding of market dynamics, sales funnel optimization, and customer lifecycle management.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and influence.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships and manage high-stake negotiations.
Proficient in CRM tools, sales performance analytics, and data-driven sales processes.
High level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and financial literacy.
