Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join our growing team. This pivotal role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and ultimately driving revenue growth for the company. The ideal candidate will be a persuasive communicator, a skilled negotiator, and possess a deep understanding of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Prospecting:
Identify and research potential clients, target markets, and emerging business opportunities through various channels (online research, industry reports, networking, cold outreach).
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new growth areas.
Lead Generation & Qualification:
Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking events.
Qualify leads to assess their needs, budget, authority, and timeline, ensuring alignment with our offerings.
Relationship Building:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business challenges and objectives.
Act as a primary point of contact for new business inquiries.
Solution Presentation & Proposal Development:
Articulate our value proposition clearly and compellingly, demonstrating how our products/services can solve client problems.
Conduct engaging presentations and product/service demonstrations to key stakeholders.
Develop customized proposals, presentations, and sales materials that address client-specific requirements.
Negotiation & Closing:
Lead commercial negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements are reached.
Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to successful closure.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, finance, operations) to finalize contracts and ensure smooth onboarding.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's business development strategy.
Set clear objectives and targets, and develop action plans to achieve them.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing team to align on campaigns, collateral, and lead generation efforts.
Collaborate with the account management/client success team to ensure a smooth transition of new clients and foster long-term relationships.
Provide feedback to product development and service delivery teams based on market insights and client needs.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience: 2 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. "Experience in B2B SaaS sales is a strong plus."
Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of the sales process, from prospecting to closing.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
Negotiation Skills: Proven negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Strategic Thinker: Ability to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities.
Problem-Solver: Resourceful and able to develop creative solutions to client challenges.
Self-Motivated: Highly self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven with a strong work ethic.
CRM Proficiency: Proficient in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM) for managing leads, opportunities, and reporting.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly understand and explain complex products/services.
Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
