About the role
As a Electrical site supervisor, you will play a crucial role in dismantling of existing 60 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers and installation of new 100/110 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers at our TCN, Asaba site. Key responsibilities include :
• Fully understand the scope of the project, technical requirements, identify the major work areas and resources needed to deliver the task.
• Schedule estimates for the main task and sub tasks; participate in the preparation of project packages. Offer technical support for operational challenges.
• Supervision of the removal of existing 60 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers; upgradation of existing civil foundations and installation / assembly of new 100/110 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers. Suggest remedial measures and troubleshooting, when encountered.
• Supervision of the commissioning of new 100/110 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers. Oversee and participate in the commissioning of systems.
• Ensure adherence to health, power outages and safety protocols.
• Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules. Coordinate team activities and provide regular updates to higher ups.
• Documentation of user manuals, product catalogues and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation of the new 100/110 MVA, 132/33 kV Power Transformers.
• Review field quality issues and resolve the same. Also, endorse all progress and schedule baselines, forecast.
• Monitor progress and make the adjustments as needed.
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
It is preferable that candidates have :
• A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in electrical / Electronics stream with minimum 7-8 years of experience.
• Experience in the field of installation and commissioning of Power Transformers.
• Proven experience in off-site management.
• Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong influencing without authority, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey recommendations clearly and concisely to management / leadership.
• Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests.
