Job Description

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager
LOCATION: Ogba, Lagos
INDUSTRY: Logistics & Freight Forwarding
SALARY: ₦350,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly (Plus Commission)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to drive business growth in our logistics and freight forwarding operations. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth through innovative sales and marketing strategies. Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or freight forwarding is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the client base and market share in freight forwarding and logistics services.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry research, and targeted outreach.

Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Prepare and present business proposals, quotes, and presentations to potential clients.

Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop tailored solutions.

Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in business development within the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.

Strong knowledge of Lagos market and logistics industry dynamics.
