Pharmacy Assistant/Nurse

Assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in preparing and dispensing prescription medications.
Labeling medications accurately.
Following proper drug storage and security procedures.
Maintaining inventory and restocking shelves.
Greeting customers and answering basic questions about medications.
Providing advice on over-the-counter medications.
Referring more complex inquiries to the pharmacist.
Processing prescription orders and handling cash
Inputting customer and prescription information into the computer system.
Answering phones and managing correspondence (emails, faxes).
Maintaining patient records and files.
Maintaining Pharmacy Operations:
Ensuring the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
Assisting with the training of new pharmacy staff.
Monitoring prescription-filling processes for compliance.

Skills and Qualifications:
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals,
Attention to Detail:
Ability to manage inventory, prioritize tasks, and maintain a tidy workspace.
Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals:
Basic understanding of medications, their uses, and potential side effects is helpful.
Ability to provide friendly and helpful service to customers.
