About the Role
Peepuu is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a TechOps focus to join our founding team. This role involves designing and building scalable backend systems, managing infrastructure, and ensuring fast, safe product delivery.

Responsibilities
Architect and build scalable backend systems using Laravel 11 / PHP 8.3
Design and maintain clean, efficient, and secure APIs
Manage database schema, queries, indexing, migrations, and data reliability
Handle Laravel Passport authentication and permission logic
Integrate third-party services (job feeds, payments, messaging, email)
Set up and own CI/CD pipelines, staging, and deployment flows (GitHub Actions, Railway)
Monitor production health and performance (Sentry, LogRocket, uptime tracking)
Automate recurring operations and internal workflows using Make, Zapier, or custom scripts
Write and maintain internal documentation, system diagrams, and SOPs
Collaborate with frontend and product teams to unblock delivery and accelerate execution
Contribute to technical roadmap decisions and shape system architecture for the long term
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, proficiency in Laravel, experience with system design and DevOps workflows, and a passion for automation and clean architecture.
