Account Officer

✓ Preparation of Management Accounts
✓ Reconciliation of General Ledger Accounts
✓ Bank Reconciliation Statements
✓ Review and ensure accurate posting of transactions from all sales points
✓ Compilation and verification of purchase requests from all cost centers
✓ Deduction and remittance of statutory obligations such as PAYE and Withholding Tax (WHT) etc.
✓ Daily reconciliation and monitoring of imprest accounts
✓ Maintenance and management of the Fixed Assets Register
✓ Monthly filing of VAT and consumption taxes with support from external consultants
✓ Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
✓ Ensure that all documents and receipts are properly maintained and securely stored.
✓ Reconcile bank statements, imprest accounts, and other financial records regularly
✓ Handle petty cash and imprest funds in line with approved policies.
✓ Assist in monitoring expenditures against approved budgets and Report any variances or unusual trends to management.
✓ Ensure compliance with organisational financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
✓ Receivables and Payables Management
✓ Function as a key part of the leadership to carry out the daily operational management of the business

Level of Qualification

✓ B.Sc. Accounting (Minimum of Second Class Lower, preferably Second Class Upper or First Class) or HND Accounting with cognate experience

✓ Associate Accounting Technician

✓ ICAN an added advantage

PS: Experience in the hospitality industry can be an added advantage
