Our partner is a health-focused insurtech startup transforming how low-income populations in Africa access healthcare. They allow users to trade recyclable waste for micro-health insurance — connecting health, climate, and economic inclusion through a unique circular economy model.
Role Overview
Our Partner is seeking a results-driven, B2B Partnerships & Sales Associate to build, manage, and grow relationships with organizations, cooperatives, SMEs, NGOs, and fintechs. The focus is on generating cash-based sales partnerships, not recycling or waste partnerships.
Location: Port Harcourt
Primary Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify potential B2B partners (e.g., cooperatives, SMEs, fintechs, community groups).
Conduct market research to uncover partnership opportunities.
Initiate contact with leads via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and physical visits.
Partnership Acquisition & Sales
Pitch cash-based micro-health insurance packages.
Develop tailored partnership proposals based on partner needs.
Negotiate terms and close partnership deals
Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for signed partners.
Support onboarding, training, and regular engagement of new partners.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Team Management
Recruit, train, and lead a small but agile local business development team.
Instil a strong results-driven culture aligned with mission and values.
Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to build a motivated, high-impact team.
Reporting & Targets
Track sales activities, leads, and conversion rates using CRM tools.
Prepare regular reports on partnership pipeline and revenue outcomes.
Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
What We’re Looking For
2–4 years experience in B2B sales, business development, or partnerships (insurance, fintech, or healthcare preferred).
Proven ability to develop relationships and close deals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable using CRM systems (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or equivalent)
Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with the Port Harcourt business landscape is an advantage
