Job Description

Responsibilities
• Contouring of target organs for radiotherapy treatment.
• Ensure appropriate CT simulations for treatment planning.
• Carry out follow-up consultations for Radiotherapy patients.
• Treat patients and perform procedures authorized by Clinical Oncologists, including advising on laboratory and radiology tests, referring to specialists as needed, and analyzing reports and test results to diagnose and propose clinical management plans.
• Provide advice on managing cancer patients requiring radiation therapy for surgical intervention or chemotherapy.
• Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and provide advice on lifestyle and diet changes.
• Counsel patients and attendants clearly in an understandable language and obtain their consent.
• Coordinate follow-up meetings and monitor patients' health post-treatment.
• Adhere to departmental policies and ensure quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards.
• Always maintain patient dignity and privacy.
• Participate in departmental and committee meetings, including clinical audits and seminars.
• Attend tumor board meetings to discuss patient management.
• Encourage team members to attend training and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs.
• Develop Continuous Quality Improvement processes for patient care delivery.
• Support the Marketing Department by delivering lectures and talks and contributing to developing educational materials.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to improve patient and attendant experiences.
• Align departmental objectives with the overall organizational vision.
• Contribute to research and development for new devices and modalities for diagnostic and therapeutic uses of radiation and ultrasound.
• Participate in clinical and basic research.

Qualification
• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology, or related oncology specialty.
• Proven ability to lead quality assurance initiatives and manage clinical audits effectively.
• Strong understanding of oncology treatment protocols, patient outcome tracking, and evidence-based practices.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration and delivering case consultations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills to engage staff in continuous improvement efforts.
• Active involvement in professional oncology organizations (e.g., ASCO, ASTRO).
• Familiarity with current technologies and advancements in oncology treatment and research
