Position: Dialysis Nurse
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: The ideal candidate must be a dedicated and experienced Dialysis/Nephrology Nurse to join their healthcare team. They will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with chronic kidney disease and those undergoing hemodialysis. This role requires clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety and well-being. You will work closely with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis assessments to monitor patient condition and treatment effectiveness
Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot dialysis machines in compliance with manufacturer specifications and hospital protocols
Ensure proper calibration, disinfection, and maintenance of dialysis equipment prior to each session
Closely monitor patients during dialysis, responding quickly to complications, vital sign changes, or machine alarms
Administer prescribed dialysis treatments and medications, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to clinical orders
Maintain strict infection control practices and enforce patient safety protocols at all times
Educate patients and families on kidney disease management, post-treatment care, and dietary/lifestyle modifications
Keep thorough and accurate documentation of patient conditions, treatment plans, machine performance, and outcomes
Work collaboratively with nephrologists and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
When no dialysis patients are scheduled, perform general nursing duties as needed to support overall unit operations and patient care
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in dialysis or nephrology nursing
Registered Nurse with current Nephrology license to practice
Hands-on experience with operating and maintaining dialysis machines (e.g., Gambro)
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
