Job Description
We are looking for a talented and experienced Bakery Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and a deep understanding of traditional and modern baking techniques. As a Bakery Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies, while ensuring the highest quality and consistency in every product.
You will work closely with other kitchen staff to plan and execute daily baking operations, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with food safety standards. Creativity and innovation are key, as we encourage our chefs to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings that delight our customers. The Bakery Chef must be able to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
In this role, you will also be expected to train and mentor junior bakers, oversee production schedules, and collaborate with management to meet business goals. A strong understanding of ingredient functions, baking science, and presentation is essential. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a commercial bakery or high-volume kitchen and be comfortable using both traditional and industrial baking equipment.

EXPERIENCE:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items
Ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area
Monitor inventory and order baking supplies as needed
Train and supervise junior baking staff
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with kitchen and management teams
Manage baking schedules and production timelines
Operate and maintain baking equipment

REQUIREMENTS;

Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or similar role
In-depth knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients
Ability to follow recipes and create new ones
Ability to work from 6am to 9pm every day.
Strong attention to detail and presentation
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Familiarity with food safety regulations
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
Team player with good communication skills
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
