Job Summary
Sebore International Farms FZE is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Grant and Funding Associate to join our Project Management team. This position will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant applications, and managing relationships with funders to ensure the successful acquisition of resources necessary for our agricultural and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, along with a passion for agriculture and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Funding Research: Identify potential grants and funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding bodies that align with Sebore's mission and projects.
• Proposal Development: Collaborate with project teams to draft, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and applications, ensuring compliance with all funder requirements.
• Grant Management: Maintain accurate records of grant applications, funding sources, deadlines, and reporting requirements. Monitor on-going compliance with grant agreements.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit timely reports to funders on project progress and financial expenditures, ensuring all conditionals of grant agreements are met.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with funders, stakeholders, and partners, serving as the primary liaison for grant-related inquiries.
• Budget Preparation: Work with finance and project teams to develop realistic grant budgets and ensure financial viability of proposals.
• Capacity Building: Provide training and support to project teams on grant writing and funding acquisition processes.
• Market Analysis: Stay informed about trends in funding for agricultural initiatives, sustainability efforts, and international projects to enhance grant strategy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Science, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a related role, preferably within the agriculture or non-profit sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully securing grant funding.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities.
• Familiarity with grant management software and tools is a plus.
• Understanding of agricultural practices and sustainability issues is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
