Job Summary
Sebore International Farms is seeking a skilled and motivated I.T. Officer to join our dynamic Information Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficiency of all systems. The I.T. Officer will play a crucial role in supporting our agricultural operations through technology solutions and fostering innovation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
-System Administration: Manage, configure, and maintain all aspects of the organization's IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
-Technical Support: Provide timely technical support to staff and assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
-Network Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect the organization’s data and IT infrastructure from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
-Software Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and updates of software applications, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
-Data Backup and Recovery: Establish and maintain backup procedures to ensure the safety of critical data, and develop disaster recovery plans to mitigate data loss.
-User Training: Conduct training sessions for staff on IT systems and software to enhance user skills and productivity.

-IT Projects: Collaborate on technology-related projects, including system upgrades and the implementation of new software or hardware solutions.
-Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers for maintenance and support of IT systems, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
-Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, network configurations, and system documentation for reference and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or system administration, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, server administration, and cyber security best practices.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with database management systems and basic programming/scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are advantageous.
