Field Sales Representative, Building Materials (Kaduna)
Are you a results-oriented sales professional with a passion for the construction industry? We're looking for an experienced and driven Field Sales Representative to join our team in Kaduna. This is a dynamic, field-based role where you'll be responsible for driving sales of essential building materials, including nails, binding wire, and iron rods, directly to clients across the region. Responsibilities:
Market Penetration & Sales Growth: Proactively identify and engage potential customers within the Kaduna construction market to achieve and exceed sales targets for building materials.
Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and other key stakeholders in the construction sector.
Product Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of our building material product range (nails, binding wire, iron rods, etc.) and effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and inform sales strategies.
Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to negotiation and closing deals.
Collaboration with Warehouse: Work closely with our Kaduna warehouse team to ensure efficient order fulfillment, inventory management, and timely delivery of products to customers.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market insights, providing regular reports to management.
Requirements:
Proven track record of success in field sales, specifically within the building materials or construction industry.
Demonstrable experience in selling products such as nails, binding wire, and iron rods is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of the **Kaduna construction market, including key players, pricing, and distribution channels.
Exceptional selling, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
Prior experience in construction work or a deep understanding of construction processes is a significant advantage.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, particularly the warehouse operations.
