Job Description
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field
• Certification in Instrumentation & Control (e.g., ISA, TÜV) is an advantage
• Minimum of 10 years’ instrumentation and control engineering experience in oil & gas (upstream preferred)
• Proven expertise with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Strong knowledge of process instrumentation, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols (HART, MODBUS, Fieldbus)
• Excellent troubleshooting, calibration, and safety systems implementation skills
• Proficient in project planning, execution, and technical documentation
• Analytical, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, adaptable, and collaborative
• Design and specify instrumentation and control systems in compliance with IEC, API, and industry standards
• Develop and review P&IDs, logic diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
• Select, integrate, and calibrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices (pressure, temperature, flow, level)
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and system acceptance testing
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and reliability improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control faults to minimize downtime
• Manage system upgrades, modifications, and performance optimization projects
• Implement advanced process control strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Integrate and validate Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in compliance with SIL requirements
• Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and safety compliance reviews
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project alignment
• Monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and maintain schedule adherence
• Prepare engineering documentation, reports, technical manuals, and compliance records
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory approval processes.
