Job Summary

The Male Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff supervision, and quality control. He ensures that all dishes meet company standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene while managing kitchen costs and driving team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the kitchen team in daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service.

Plan and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal and specialty dishes.

Supervise food preparation and cooking to maintain high quality and consistency.

Enforce food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.

Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff for skill development.

Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to reduce wastage.

Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.

Address and resolve any kitchen-related issues promptly.

Work closely with service staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy kitchen environment.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and kitchen operations.

Ability to work under pressure and manage a fast-paced kitchen.

Understanding of budget control, portioning, and waste reduction.

Creativity in menu development.

Excellent communication skills.

Commitment to staff training and development.

Education & Experience

Culinary school certification or equivalent professional training.

Minimum 5 years’ progressive kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
