About the Role

This is a hands-on, mission-driven role supporting the operational growth and creative delivery of Monat’s arts-based programs. The Creative Arts Operations Assistant Manager will work closely with the Founding Team to plan and execute engaging programs for children and families. The role bridges project management, artistic direction, and community collaboration in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

This is not a conventional administrative role, it demands initiative, cross-functional coordination, and a deep appreciation for creative learning. The successful candidate will help scale Monat’s impact through well-run programming, meaningful partnerships, and efficient team operations.

What You Will Be Doing

Program & Curriculum Coordination

Design and deliver seasonal creative programs (art, dance, music, sensory play) tailored to child development stages.
Work with educators and external creatives to ensure a stimulating and safe learning experience.
Integrate Montessori and Waldorf-informed practices in program development.
Operations & Logistics Management

Oversee daily setup, session flow, and post-session wrap-up for creative workshops.
Manage procurement and inventory of materials, ensuring quality within budget.
Maintain a clean, safe, and inspiring physical environment for children and facilitators.
Community Engagement & Events

Plan creative events such as art fairs, exhibitions, and parent-child workshops.
Engage and coordinate local artists, facilitators, and schools for partnerships.
Maintain active communication and rapport with families and community partners.
Team & Admin Support

Supervise and train part-time art facilitators and volunteers on facilitation and safety.
Track participation metrics, compile feedback, and prepare monthly program reports.
Ensure documentation and reporting processes are aligned with organizational goals.

What We Are Looking For

4–7 years experience in arts education, program coordination, or early childhood learning environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage creative workshops and child-focused programming.
Strong organizational, scheduling, and team supervision skills.
Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Canva, Excel) and ability to adapt to new systems.
A warm, thoughtful communicator with a hands-on and solution-oriented approach.

Ideal Candidate

Creative & Grounded: Passionate about arts and child development, yet operationally disciplined.

Emotionally Intelligent: Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate to children, staff, and parents.

Organized & Detail-Oriented: Balances creativity with structure and clarity in execution.

Growth-Oriented: Welcomes feedback, learns quickly, and adapts to evolving priorities.

Community-Minded: Believes in the power of connection, collaboration, and shared experience.
