Position Title: Accountant

Role Summary:
We are looking to hire an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective management of the company’s financial resources. The ideal candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate financial reports, budget planning, managing all transactions, recording all financial activities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making by management.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, records, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP), and company policies
• Support the development and enforcement of financial policies and procedures.
• Partner with other units—e.g., property or asset management—to support financial decision-making, budgeting, and reporting
• Maintaining the general ledger. Review and post financial transactions into accounting software, making accruals and adjustments as needed.
• Preparing and manage fixed assets register.
• Performing any other duty that may be assigned by Supervisor/line Manager.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports to management.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
• Accurately record all daily financial transactions, ensuring that our financial records are complete and error free

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Experience in finance and accounting. Deep knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of IFRS would be an added advantage.
