Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for an experienced Accounting Officer for our client, an Agro-Commodities Trader delivering unmatched value to companies, farmers and processors. The Accounting Officer must have sound financial skills and a solid understanding of agriculture cost drivers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Prepare (daily, weekly and end-of-month) financial status reports
• Documenting financial transactions by entering account information
• Fact checking invoices for payment, processing and refunds
• Summarize financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statement and other reports
• Prepare monthly financial reports be collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
• Check and verify vendor bills before making payment advise
• Helping in managing the risks of a company and supervising the salary of employees
• Perform other functions as assigned by the management
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Economics / Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an Accounting Officer In a Commodity Company
• The candidate should be able demonstrate Accounting standard knowledge (financial modeling and budgeting)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be reliable, trustworthy and required to work with minimum supervision
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office
Suitable candidates must be based within Ogbomosho/Surrounding environment or must be willing to relocate immediately.
