Fireman Assistant

Responsible & Duties

-Assist in the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment best practices in the unit.
-Ensure the up-to-date servicing of fire extinguishers at all time.
-Assist in the implementation and ensuring compliance of all HSE policies.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

-Possess HND or B.Sc. in any Social Science discipline.
-HSE training and other related certification.
-Minimum of 1 to 3 years cognate experience preferably on Electrical Safety, fire fighting and prevention.
-Certification as emergency medical technicians (EMT) is preferred
-Working knowledge of firefighting equipment and apparatus
-Knowledge of first aid/CPR methods
-A practical mind and problem-solving ability
-Successful passing of firefighting exams (written, physical, psychological etc.)
-Willingness to follow legal rules and guidelines and firefighting standards at all times
-Great physical strength and stamina partnered with the ability to dress and move quickly
-Patient and cool tempered with the ability to function in a team
-Dedicated and compassionate
