Job Description
The Trade Operations Representative is responsible for identifying and securing sales opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, particularly in the downstream sector, and possess excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets.
* Identify and approach potential customers, presenting company products and services.
* Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to clients.
* Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
* Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers.
* Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
* Regularly update customers on product developments, pricing, and promotions.
* Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for management review.
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Stay updated on industry developments, company products, and services.
* Attend training sessions and industry events to enhance knowledge and skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the oil and gas industry.
* Shipping experience
* Vessel experience
* Strong knowledge of the downstream oil and gas market.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
