Job Description

Skintivity Skincare Limited is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Factory Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our skincare product manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and efficient production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and supervise a dedicated team of cosmetic chemists, trainees, quality assurance officers, and factory floor workers.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Development:
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance and reduce waste.
Contribute to business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Lean activities.

Production Process Management:
Correctly follow standard formulation sheets and processes for different production activities.
Manage and control the production process according to the production method of the product to ensure quality as specified in the product standard, while minimizing loss.

Organizational Skills:
Use strong organizational skills to oversee production prepping, clean-up, finished product packaging, and labeling.
Organize daily tasks according to the Production Schedule.
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.

Team Supervision:
Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel, including inspectors, technicians, and other staff members.
Provide guidance and resolve various problems in the production process.
Guide the production team on quality control issues to enhance product quality.

Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain a working knowledge of cosmetic regulations for cosmetics and active ingredient regulations.
Ensure that the team follows company policies and safety standards.

Equipment and Maintenance:
Manage machinery and equipment used in the production department to ensure readiness, accuracy, and safety.
Schedule regular equipment maintenance and inspections.

Process Improvement:
Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality and capacity.
Optimize the production process with regard to quality and safety as priorities.

Resource Management:
Determine equipment, material, and manpower requirements for project execution.
Develop project budgets and maintain expenses within the budget.
Recommend cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards.

Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor production activities and adjust schedules for on-time delivery.
Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain all necessary records relating to quality assurance, production, consumption, and stocks.

Administrative Duties:
Carry out and be responsible for other duties related to administration as assigned by management.
Prepare work practices that are accurate and appropriate according to the company’s policy.

Vendor Liaison:
Liaise with vendors for bottles, design, and label printing.

Qualification:
*B.Sc / M.Sc in Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
*3-5 years of experience in the cosmetic industry or related field.
*Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and their application in a production environment.
*Knowledge of distribution operating systems and all production and logistics aspects.
*Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
*Knowledge of procurement, performance evaluation, and budgeting concepts.
*Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong attention to detail.

Salary:
250.000,00 NGN Monthly
